From looking at the cover of the first “Twilight” novel, you immediately notice the paleness of the hands and the bright red apple being held by them.  Had I not known the plot of “Twilight” before seeing this cover, I’m not sure I would’ve known exactly what to expect.  However, it is known that this apple is supposed to represent the “forbidden fruit” from the Book of Genesis.  This represents the two main character’s love, which is ultimately forbidden as one is human and the other is a vampire.  There is not much going on on this cover to notice after a while of observing, but the typeography is interesting.  The title of “Twilight” it lowercase and letters like the “l” and the “g” appear spooky in a way and make me think that this isn’t a simple love story.
